San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish Welcomes the Diocesan Jubilee Cross

Taytay, Rizal — The Jubilee Cross of the Diocese of Antipolo was officially welcomed by the community of San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish last Saturday, February 9, 2025. The entire Parish Pastoral Council, Chapel Pastoral Councils, and Movements and Organizations of the parish were involved in the event.

The day began with a motorcade from Mary Queen Parish to Calabrian Formation School, where many parishioners gathered. At the Calabrian Formation School, Rev. Fr. Melchizedek de Lara, the parish priest, gave a brief explanation about the Jubilee Cross. The community also showed their reverence to the cross with a solemn prayer. At 5:30 PM, the community walked together in a procession from Calabrian Formation School to San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish. Various groups and organizations carried the Jubilee Cross until it reached the church.

Upon arrival at the parish, the Jubilee Cross was presented to everyone to provide an opportunity for parishioners to pray and reflect. This was followed by a Welcoming Mass at 6:30 PM. Afterward, from 8:30 to 9:30 PM, the Youth Ministry led a Taizé prayer night, creating a peaceful space for prayer and meditation.

The Jubilee Cross will remain at San Lorenzo Ruiz from February 9, 2025, to February 16, 2025. It will be brought to various chapels from Monday to Thursday. There will also be various activities such as Tree Planting, Feeding, and Clean-up Drive in each community at the chapel.

Let us continue to pray for this work of the Diocese and our parish. Thank you very much. #Antipolensis #AntipoloDiocese
