Outreach Program of Social Service Ministry
Taytay: Last July 24, 2024 typhoon Carina intensely hit Manila and the neighboring regions. Some areas of San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish in Taytay, Rizal, heavily felt the effect of flooding. With this, the Social Action of the Diocese of Antipolo reached out to the victims of the typhoon. Today, with the cooperation of our Parish Social Service Ministry, headed by Rev. Fr. Caster Von Calipes, PSDP, some goods were distributed to them. Around 300 individuals benefitted from this outreach program.
The distribution of goods took place in the chapels of Sacred Heart of Jesus, Sto. Niño, San Isidro Labrador, Immaculate Conception, and San Vicente Ferrer. This activity was started with an opening liturgy. It was then followed by the blessing of the goods and the people. Next, they had the distribution of goods. Finally, a short orientation and words of gratitude were given. This said activity started from 9:00 AM and ended around 2:30 PM.
