OLAP Welcomes Fr. Elazar and Bids Adieu to Fr. Isagani

Caburan, Jose Abad Santos – In the evening of 17th of October 2024, the community of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish (OLAP), headed by Rev. Fr. Raymond Balaod, PSDP together with the parish leaders, welcomed the new member of the team of pastors in OLAP, Rev. Fr. Eleazar Matulin, PSDP. He was formerly assigned as the superior of the religious community of the Calabrians in Brgy. Lumbia, Cagayan de Oro City.

As they welcomed Fr. Elezar, they too bid goodbye to Rev. Fr. Isagani Autentico, PSDP who stayed 3 months in the community as a guest priest. Fr. Isagani will take over the previous post left by Fr. Eleazar in Lumbia

The program especially set up for them started with the Holy Eucharist presided over by Rev. Fr. Marc Yape, PSDP. It was followed by a simple dinner in "Kusina ni San Jose" - the refectory of the convent.

Fr. Isagani is set to travel in the morning of 18th of October. Br. Edison Visaya, PSDP, a fellow Calabrian religious, and Mr. Marjun Ampong, a collaborator and friend of the Calabrians, will travel with Fr. Isagani going to his new community in Cagayan de Oro City.
