“I am here!” Lourdesians Renew Their Commitment

Caburan, Jose Abad Santos – The rain was pouring heavily yesterday, 23rd of March 2025, here in Our Lady of the Assumption Parish (OLAP), Caburan. However, this did not hamper the renewal of commitment performed by 28 young ladies and members of the confraternity of the Our Lady of Lourdes, otherwise known as ‘Lourdesians’, belonging to Zone 5 of GKK San Isidro Labrador, Kalbay.

            In a solemn portrayal of love and oblation to God, they promised that they will uphold the values of the confraternity and they will take up the duties and responsibilities of being a Lourdesian. They also invoked the intercession and motherly care of the Blessed Virgin Mary to guide them and come to their aide when moments of trials and adversities come.

            Fr. Marc Yape, PSDP, presided over the eucharistic celebration. He exhorted the young ladies in his homily that their life should be patterned after the Our Lady of Lourdes whose filial trust and abandonment to God is manifested through her constant ‘yes’ and ‘I am here’ to the will of God.
