Diocesan Youth Encounter Begins, Aspirants Join Days of Prayer and Formation

Calbayog City – The Diocesan Youth Encounter (YE) of the Diocese of Calbayog officially begins today and will run until Sunday afternoon, bringing together young people from various parishes for a weekend of prayer, formation, and fellowship.

Nazareth Formation House serves as both the session venue and the temporary home for 25 participants who are staying in the house throughout the encounter. Among them are the PSDP aspirants from the 3rd Year, 2nd Year, and Pre-College levels, who are actively participating in this meaningful event.

Following the Virac Model, under the guidance of the Episcopal Commission on Youth (ECY), the Youth Encounter is more than just a program. It is a sacred space where young people are invited to encounter Christ, themselves, their life situations, and others.

As the encounter unfolds at Nazareth, the house becomes a vibrant center of discernment, renewal, and grace. The Calabrian family, and the entire local Church, is encouraged to pray for the participants—that their hearts may be open to the call of Christ in their lives.
