Calabrian Family in Prayer
Calbayog City: Tonight, the Calabrian Family had an hour of prayer (Eucharistic Adoration) with the theme: “Called to preserve the unity of the Spirit” (Ephesians 4:3). This hour of prayer was done in a synchronized time with the entire Calabrian Family throughout the world. This hour of prayer is dedicated for the upcoming General Chapter of the Congregation.
All 28 seminarians together with the formators in Nazareth Formation House (NFH) gathered in the chapel. At exactly 9:00 PM, the hour of prayer began.
The Eucharistic Adoration was divided into three (3) moments. The first moment: Invocation to The Holy Spirit began with individual preparation to accept the Holy Spirit and the reading of the letter of St. Paul to the Romans (Romans 8:26-27). This moment ended with the song to the Holy Spirit and spontaneous prayer. The second moment: What A Great Gift To Be Called To Be Part Of The Family was dedicated to thank the Lord for the gift of vocations that make the face of Calabrian Family beautiful. This moment started with the reading of the letter of St. Paul to the Romans (Romans 8:28-33). After, there was a long prayerful silence at the end of this moment for self-meditation. The third moment: Called To Preserve the Unity (Ephesians 4:3) was spent in invoking the gifts of unity and peace in the opera, in our families, in our communities, and in our activities. This moment started with the reading of the letter of St. Paul to the Ephesians (Ephesians 4:1-7). Then, there was a long prayerful silence. Afterwards, the prayer for the general chapter was prayed at the end of this moment.
At exactly 10:05 PM, the hour of prayer ended.
