Calabrian Family-Calbayog Gathers

Calbayog City: Today, the Calabrian Family in Calbayog came together in a joyful spirit of unity and gratitude. The event started with a Mass led by Fr. Jeffrey U. Singzon, PSDP, who reminded everyone of the special bond that holds the Calabrian Family together, as dreamed by God and St. John Calabria.

Fr. Jeffrey shared that this gathering was more than just a meeting of aspirants, ex-Allieve, friends, benefactors, youth and religious—it was a true family celebration. "We are one big family, united by our faith and our mission," he said. He stressed that, despite our differences, we all belong to the same Calabrian Family, united by trust in God's providence. Everyone, no matter their role, has something important to offer for the glory of God.

A short video about St. John Calabria followed, showing his deep trust in God, especially during times of hardship. Fr. Jeffrey explained that St. Calabria believed that God works through each one of us. Whether religious, priest or lay, everyone in the family is called to serve with love and care. For St. Calabria, the spirit of family was central to his mission—every person’s contribution mattered, and each one was important.

Fr. Jeffrey encouraged everyone to continue living the Calabrian mission with trust, love, and joy. He reminded the family to stay united, always working together to show God's love through their service to others.
